thoughts on the cleanse…

Totally yuck! OMG! (lol) …

It definitely tastes worse mixed with the water so on my next dose I will drink it straight followed by a large glass of water. I’m not feeling too bad tho tummy is a little hungry. I’ll keep busy doing chores about the place, there is loads to do.

This is only Day 3 and I can see it will take discipline but so far I think more mind over matter than anything. If I want the 56kgs rid of then I need to remain focused, disciplined and on track to achieve my goal. I think I’ll be fine, certainly helps writing it all here ..

Will have my cleanses at: 7.30am/11.30am/3.30pm & last one 7.30pm and get an early night so I’m not thinking too much about “hunger” … Cripes this hunger is nothing compared to the poor millions upon millions of starving people worldwide! I can handle one day per week. I need to harden up!

Day 3 = 1st cleanse day & no solid food today

The testing day (lol)

The morning started off with a “tap tap tap” outside my door at 5am, my fabulous furry 4 legged friend thought it was time for his walk, little does he know I missed out on 30 minutes kip! In actual fact it wasn’t his toilet time or his walk time, he just wanted to harass the cat who was outside the other door! Little buggar, so between them I really was up early.

I managed 40 minutes of exercise this morning, from my walk, to my weights, to the strider and thigh trainer. I feel knackered but good! I will get there.

Right, off to have my first lot of “cleanse” product for the day followed by copious amounts of water when ever I’m hungry to fill me up. One day a week completely without solid food can’t be that bad anyway. Later…

Day 2 on my journey, feeling A O K

Well I got through day 1 without too much hardship and up bright and spright this morning at 5.30am, gorgeous day here. On the track at 6am and same trek as yesterday followed by 15 minutes on the weights, strider and thigh exerciser, it’s not a lot but it’s a start. Hopefully I’ll be able to build up my fitness sooner rather than later but I’ll be sensible as all muscles ached like crazy this morning (lol) … What was only 35 minutes of exercise ALL UP felt like 1.5 hours! It’s certainly going to take some time… “Rome wasn’t built in a day” .. I must keep reminding myself of that …

I read somewhere yesterday with this Isagenix programme that you see immediate results, hello, how can you? Well I HAVE! Yes sir-eee when I bent down this morning to do up my shoe laces it was not so much of a strain! First time in months I haven’t felt strain or pain JUST tying up my laces, so I agree, Immediate results have been noticed!

So here I am on Day 2 of my pre cleanse. Shake and tabs for brekkie, chocolate shake this morning, I really like the simplicity of it and I know what I’m having. Fresh fruit salad for lunch + a tab and shake for dinner. Tomorrow is my very first “cleanse day” and it will be a toughie but I’ll get through it. A cleanse day consists of the detox liquid product only, taken 4 x a day. *smiles and says NO SWEAT* This Isagenix has to work for me, I have to rid this 56kgs of extra weight.

Well it’s 8.20am, the morning is a stunner, so I’m gonna strip all the bed clothes and have a tidy up outdoors.

2.43pm on the first day

Well the first day hasn’t been too bad so far. Had a lovely bowl of fresh fruit salad for lunch with the isa tablet, and I’m feeling A O K. Usually I would munch on snacks while at my PC so today I’ve kept busy doing other things. Spring cleaning is always a good thing to do! (lol) may become a daily habit and that’s all good…I’m trying to see where we can add pix? Help…. Maybe we can paste them in here…I’ll check it out later..

Feeling good on Day 1 = a big thumbs up

Man oh Man, look what I’ve done to myself!

Seriously, how can a once attractive slim and popular woman get to this size! I have 56kgs to lose, that is one kg over DOUBLE my body size to lose, yes you read it right, I have doubled my original body size…

How did I get here… Hmmmm … we are what we eat right! That is so darned true as well as a few other issues.. I have learned so much about being overweight or dare I use the word “obese”! I am obese for my height OMG! I’m 5 feet even

Did a light just come on or what? (lol)

First notice of any extra weight gain started a few years ago when I started menopause but those few extra kgs never effected my looks, I was always pretty cute and I was always active and busy and loved to keep in shape.

So I gained a few kgs with the onset of menopause (men you are so freaking lucky) then came the quit smoking and quit drinking and prednisone tablets! I took preds for breathing problems caused by decades of smoking, hence I quit them. That was over a year ago I quit smoking and drinking..I put on another 15kgs with those tablets! bad news stuff…

I quit two old addictions for a new one “food addiction” and my new found love of everything sweet! I have an incredibly addictive nature and yeah you guessed it, that’s why I am here today with 56kgs to lose.

I have tried so many diet regimes since February this year and my weight has hardly changed, I have tried WW, Atkins, bread diet, CS, TF, you name it I have given most a good go for like 6-8 weeks at a time with next to NO weight loss. How can someone as large as I’ve become NOT lose loads of weight in that time.

Back to the doctors, more tests, then hospital tests and bamboozled docs, then I was told I had an insulin resistance something or rather and I carry a load of fluid as well. The silly thing is I cannot drink too much fluid as I retain it! So i try and drink no more than 1800mils – 2litres per day.

The medical registrar treated me so badly, I was shocked! In fact this being big is not nice, people actually treat you different. I’m still the same me inside, I’ve just doubled my size,  JUST she says!! How bad is that… The human race is shallow, that much I’ve learned… Even my own family treat me different because i’ve got this large! Pretty sad really, for them and for me…. BUT hey, I can lose weight and still be understanding, can they? This my friend can happen to anyone……it could happen to you

Back to deciding on what I will use to shed this LOAD, this 56kg load! After much research, talking with my own doctor, natural therapists and searching the net I decided on a cleanse product. I’ve read the reviews, I’ve seen the results and I’ve tried everything, so I bought Isagenix, a weight loss detox cleansing package with a bit of everything in it! I figure I can’t lose… I bought a 30 day package

It is expensive, like $500.00NZD Incl delivery from Aussie if you are an agent (which I am to get the products cheaper) works for me and I can sell to other people if they want the products too.

Today is my first day on the products…. Because I’ve not cleansed before I need to start with two pre cleanse days, so today is day 1 of the first pre cleanse day.

I was up at 5.30am, on the track at 6.10am (we have a farm track beside our house) and I managed a 25 minute walk, gasping for breath I was as you can imagine when carrying an extra 56kgs! When I got back from my walk I managed 15 mins use of weights and just under 2mins on my strider, this fatty did quite well (lol) .. I waited for an hour after my exercise to have my Isagenix goodies: tablets, shake and Ionix supreme. The chocolate shake is yum! I will have another tablet at lunchtime with a bowl of mixed fresh homemade fruit salad no more than 400-600 calories and for dinner, the shake … Drinking around 2.8 litres of purified water per day inclusive of water in my shakes. Tuesdays are cleanse days (no food) just cleansing / detox liquids, that will be a tough day.

For the first month or two I will concentrate on eating just fruit & veges and give away the meat and other foods for a while, until I get my body back. I just want my mini me back :)

I was always around the 55kgs all my adult life and I remember when I had a few extra kgs I would feel yuck and go hard out to lose those extra 2-5kgs! Now check it out, holy crappers…

I’m a buggar for punishment my Dad used to always say. He’s right too (bless him) I always did learn things the hard way *grins* … Hey if we learn, we grow right! I will be forever more “kind” to people who have loads of extra weight! They are still the same people deep down, they still have the same heart and pulse :)

I have a few laughs now and again re being a “fatso” keeps me sane but heck I can’t see why anyone would want to stay like this as a lifestyle choice. I used to run 10kms every morning cos i loved it! I’d run 15kms on a Sunday for fun, I loved running, and i felt soooooooooo good afterwards, now I can’t lift my leg properly to put my pants on! There is so much I can’t do, it is terrible!

I’m confident this Isagenix will get me to where I want to be, slim, attractive, lean and mean ha ha! Cripes, I quit smoking and drinking and now this! Hmmmmm give me say 6 months from today and i should be at my goal weight 55kgs! My little me back, lean and sexy again.

My gorgeous husband who supports what ever I do told me I could be twice this size and he’d still love me to the moon and back. He is one awesome guy and never judges me, that’s why I love him to bits. I reckon he will love his sexy wee wife back all the same ha ha! Now i must confess the only bonus of this weight gain is much larger boobies and we know boobies are just fat so darn it, they’re gonna disappear into oblivion! *bugga*

Ideally I would like this weight off by end of March / end of April 2009 as we are moving to Aussie, so my goal is to be slim, healthy and beautiful by the time we move. I don’t like the heat at the best of times so being slimmer and healthier I will cope better that’s for sure.

I’m going to use this blog to track my daily progress, to keep me honest and to help motivate me on my new journey. My new addiction hopefully will become my focus to get slim, healthy and to love exercising again. To anyone reading this who has always been slim, this could happen to you, don’t ever think it couldn’t, I once thought the same.

If anyone reading this would like to join me on my journey, please do so! I would love to hear from you…

I will post some fat pix soon and add monthly progress pix right up until I reach my goal weight. Wooooooooo Hoooooooooooo I CAN DO IT & WILL DO IT! Keep watching this space ………
